Pack 13's 2008 Day Camp Page

What is Day Camp?

Day camp is an organized one to five day program for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts conducted by the Rainbow Council under certified leadership at an approved site. Day camps are conducted during daylight or early evening hours. Day camps do not include any overnight activities. Certification of the day camp director and program director is provided through the National Camping School. All day camps shall be conducted in accordance with established standards as provided in National Standards for Cub Scout/Webelos Scout Day Camps

Cub Scout Day Camp will be one of the most memorable experiences for you and your son to share. At Day Camp, Cub Scouts have the opportunity to learn new skills, enhance old ones and work towards rank requirements, but most of all, to have LOTS of FUN!! In keeping with the purpose of Scouting, the camp program has been designed to promote character development, citizenship training, and both mental and physical development.

Highlights of the Parent Guide and Key Information
The deposit of $10 per scout is due to Jennifer Anderson by Monday, April 1. Jennifer's Phone is 815-609-6077 and her e-mail is on2mars@sbcglobal.net.
Total cost is $75, with the remaining $65 registration fee due to Jennifer by April's pack night on April 15. Registrations received between April 16 and May 16 are $85 (an additional $10). All forms are also due to Jennifer by April's Pack Night.
No registrations will be taken, with the exception of new scouts, within 7 days of the start of camp
In order to make this the best experience possible for your son, we need your help. Every Scout is expected to have a parent or guardian volunteer at least one day to work as a Day Walker Leader. Each Pack must also supply staff to help run camp with a ratio of approximately 1 staff member per 5-10 Scouts.
